A huge thank-you to Sammy Hagar’s son, Aaron Hagar, for sending prints of my book cover to help make my book launch party last Saturday such a success. Having his prints on display definitely added to everyone’s enjoyment of the event.
Aaron did the cover painting for DANCE OF THE ELECTRIC HUMMINGBIRD and if I said he did a beautiful job, that would be a gross understatement. My photos don’t do it justice. Please note that these pieces are not yet stretched or mounted.

Thank you to all my wonderful friends and family who helped me celebrate the achievement of a lifetime–the publication of my first book, DANCE OF THE ELECTRIC HUMMINGBIRD–by attending my book launch party last Saturday; that includes all of you who sent love and wishes (and flowers, cards, bottles of wine–wow! Am I blessed to have such wonderful friends or what?) but weren’t able to be there in person. You were there in spirit. It was so much fun! Who does a hip-hop dance (well, sort of!) to Pitbull’s “Shut it Down” at a book launch party? Who does tequila toasts with Cabo Wabo tequila? I do!
If you missed the party, no worries. Please come visit me on Thursday, December 1 from 5:30-7:00 pm, where I’ll be doing a reading and book signing at Reader’s Cove Bookstore, 1001 E. Harmony Rd., Fort Collins, CO. I would love to see you.
Lastly, we’re adding new live appearances and updates to the website daily. Please check back often so you don’t miss anything!
Wishing you and yours a blessed holiday season.

(Happy birthday, Daddy. I love you and I miss you… I hope you’re up there showing St. Peter how to carve hooded mergansers out of wood…)
A big thank you to Patricia Stoltey, who featured my article, “Angel in My Hair” on her blog yesterday. The article is about how rock star Sammy Hagar helped me become a published author.
Mystery writer Patricia Stoltey has been an inspiration to me from the beginning of writing my own book. She is not only an amazing writer, but a wonderful person as well. Please visit her site today! Thanks so much, Pat!
